CALLOUT: To Middle Chinnock
FIRE crews were called to reports of a fire in a milk tanker.
Crews from Crewkerne and Yeovil were called to Middle Chinnock Road, near Crewkerne, at around 7.57am this morning (January 4).
A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "One fire appliance from Crewkerne and one from Yeovil were sent to a report of a fire in the trailer unit of a milk tanker.
"On arrival crews confirmed that there was a small fire in the engine of the trailer unit.
"There was no leakage or spillage of any of the milk.
"Fire crews used a CO2 extinguisher to deal with the incident."
