IT was emotional at St Joseph's School in Bridgwater in 1998.
For long-serving caretaker Mary Webber was marking a double celebration - not only reaching 25 years of service at the school, but also celebrating her 60th birthday with staff and pupils.
Mary, who started at the school as a cleaner, was given a surprise presentation of wine glasses and flowers, as well as a cheque from the governors.
"I enjoy my job very and want to carry on for a few years yet," she said.
"It's lovely working with the children, they are all very nice."
Away from school duties, the Russell Place resident enjoyed reading, gardening and caravanning.
