A GROUP of sixth form students from a Highbridge school raised nearly £300 for a Burnham-on-Sea charity.
Pupils at The King Alfred School hosted a number of events during lunchtime and break times on November 3 as part of a RAG day to raise the funds for Somewhere House, a charity which supports people suffering with alcohol and drug problems.
Student Sam Collard and members of the sixth form student committee at the school presented a cheque for £293 to Mandy Ellis, of Somewhere House, who said they charity was ‘deeply touched’ by the school’s generosity.
“Every penny raised goes back into the charity,” Mandy said
