RESIDENTS in Taunton who have their waste collected on Mondays may experience some delays this morning.
Somerset Waste Partnership posted the update on its Twitter page this morning, stating that due to the theft of fuel and batteries from the collection vehicles, there might be some delays.
SWP also urged anyone who has information to get in touch with Avon and Somerset Police.
Taunton Deane rubbish and garden waste collections may be delayed today because of battery+fuel thefts from collection vehicles. Apologies, SWP. PS: Know who did it? Turn them in to @ASPolice pic.twitter.com/Sx0t1AxQPV

A spokesman said: "There has been a delay in starting rubbish and garden waste collections today while we repair the vehicles.
"All our usual rubbish and garden waste trucks either are out on their rounds or will shortly be out, so we do hope to catch up."
