A BURNHAM-ON-SEA theatre company is on a recruitment drive as it moves into its fifth year of producing drama shows.

The Princess Theatre Company is the only non-professional theatre company in Somerset solely devoted to new, original writing.

The company is supported by the Princess Theatre and Arts Centre and Burnham and Highbridge Town Council.

Theatre chairman Oliver Hulme said: “Our next production is a selection of new short plays, which follows the successful PTC in Shorts which was last year’s May production and we are inviting anyone with a theatrical bent to join in.

“We’d love to hear your ideas and help you bring them to fruition.

“There are many theatre companies in Somerset all doing amazing things on stage, but we are the only one that will always produce something you have never seen before.

“It would be great to see new people come into the group and share their ideas so we can make this production our best one yet.”

The theatre group meets every Tuesday at The Princess Theatre in Burnham and is hosting a free comedy drama workshop on Saturday December 2 with Michelle Graham-McMorrow.
