QUEUES: Cranleigh Gardens has tailbacks as police deal with an incident in St John Street
AN ONGOING police incident is reportedly causing major delays in Bridgwater this afternoon.
Police are reportedly dealing with an incident in St John Street in Bridgwater, and the town had become gridlocked near the area as a result.
One eyewitness said: "There are two police cars from where I can see and there are tailbacks all the way through Cranleigh Gardens."
There have been reports of armoured police, police dogs, a helicopter all in the area.
Avon and Somerset Police have been contacted for a comment.
