A PRIMARY school girl has had her long locks chopped off to support two charities.

Georgina Roe has donated the hair to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children suffering hair loss.

And iin the process, Georgina, aged seven, of George Street, Taunton, has raised £320 for St Margaret's Hospice.

Georgina, who attends St James Church School, said: "I had been growing my hair for the last 18 months, so that I could get it as long as possible to cut my hair off to give it to the Princess Trust so that they can make wigs for the poorly children.

"I also wanted to raise money at the same time for St Margaret's Hospice so they can continue to help all the poorly people, one of which was my great grandma,"

Her father, Jason, said: "I'm very proud of her. She's very kind and open-hearted.

"She was very nervous before about what she'd look like, but she told me she's going to keep her hair short now."

There's stil ltime to sponsor Georgina on Just Giving.
