A NUMBER of people have contacted us saying they believe Taunton's £22 million inner relief road could be opening soon.
They have reported seeing equipment being moved off site and say they rarely see any workers there.
Well, sorry to disappoint you, but there's still no date for the completion of work on the mile-long Northern Inner Distribution Road.
Contractors Carillion, who is building the highway between the Staplegrove Road junction with Chip Lane and Priory Avenue, has missed a number of target completion dates.
And with the project already more than two years overdue, Somerset County Council and Carillion seem to have given up suggesting when it might be ready.
Relations between the two parties aren't that warm anyway, with the council "continuing to pursue damages for every day of delay".
