A CHIMNEY fire at a property in Highbridge was extinguished by crews late last night.
One fire engine from Burnham-on-Sea was sent to a property on Church Street at 8.51pm.
On arrival, crews confirmed the chimney was well alight and got to work extinguishing the fire from the hearth removing wood and using thermal image camera to check for any fire spread.
Crews were also tackling the fire from the roof using a triple extension ladder and a roof ladder using safety at height gear.
Duty of care was left with the occupier and crews left the scene after 10pm.
