BURNHAM-on-Sea's rescue hovercraft and Watchet Coastguard were called out earlier this week after concerns for a dog walker and their dog were raised.
The cocker spaniel became stuck in the mud on Stolford beach near Hinkley Point on December 3.
Watchet Coastguards requested the help of BARB's rescue hovercraft to rescue to the stranded dog due to it's location and low tide.
A spokesman from BARB said: "The Cocker spaniel, named Oakley, had run off and got stuck but he fortunately got out safely and the teams stood down.
"There was concern that the dog owner may put themselves in danger by venturing out into the mud and trying to go and recover the animal."
If you ever have concerns of an animal being stuck in the mud or are concerned that someone may be in danger near the beach call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
