FIREFIGHTERS were called to "a chemical smell" in Wellington this morning (Thursday).
The fire and rescue service received reports of a smell of turpentine at a house in Holyoake Street shortly before 11am.
A fire engine from the town was mobilised along with a supervisory officer.
On their arrival, crews requested the attendance of a specialised piece of gas monitoring equipment from Bridgwater.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "The property was checked but no source for the smell was located."
