A FIRE broke out at a commercial building in Walford Cross last night.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 11:41pm to reports of a commercial building fire at Walford Cross.
Three fire appliances from Taunton were mobilised to this incident.
Upon arrival crews confirmed one single storey commercial building measuring approx. 45M x 20M, of which 40% of the building was involved in the fire.
The fire crews then requested a further three appliances which were all mobilised from Bridgwater.
The fire took a few hours to extinguish.
There was 20% damage to the shop and 100% damage to the remainder of the building.
A caravan adjacent to the building also suffered some slight heat damage.
No one was injured in the incident.
