TWO fire engines were sent to a cooker fire at a home in Staplegrove.

Crews from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue were called to the property on Irvine Close at 8.03pm last night.

On arrival, crews confirmed there had been a fire involving the cooker in the kitchen.

The fire was out on arrival.

The area was checked to make sure it was safe and natural ventilation was carried out to clear the property of smoke.

The cause of the fire was accidental and duty of care was left with the occupiers.
