BRIDGEWATCH 2: Ahead of the new bridge over Station Road, a historic look at the old bridge
THIS is (fingers crossed) the last weekend without a second bridge over Station Road, Taunton.
Work is due to start on Monday swinging a new road bridge into place on the site of the former rail bridge, which was removed back in May.
It's all part of the new Northern Inner Distributor Road due to open before the end of this year.
We thought you might like to look back to the days of black and white photos to see how the original bridge looked some 50 or more years ago.
