A DISCO to raise money for a school redecoration was held at Hinton St George First School.

More than 75 people put on their best outfit and hit the dance floor on Saturday, July 16 to raise funds for the school.

The redecoration project will be used for developing the school grounds to make them more welcoming.

Disco-goers had a choice of gin at the bar serving cocktails by Dawn Quince from Hinton Harvest.

The blast from the past event was organised by fundraiser Kat Khan-Davis supported by a group of volunteers.

One volunteer Barry Longhurst offered support by DJing and keeping everyone dancing throughout the night.

Mum of three Kat Khan-Davis said:

"As a local villager, a parent governor for Hinton St George School and as parent to three very happy children who all attend the school and pre-school it was important for me to personally be involved with trying to fundraise some extra money for the redecoration project and to show my appreciation of how much the school is loved by my children.

"Thank you to everyone that attended the evening and also to those that helped bring it all together and through a lot of hard work, together we made an amazing £300 for our school."
