AN OUTBUILDING in Brent Knoll has been destroyed following a fire.
Crews from Burnham and Sea and Cheddar were called to West Road at 9.43pmlast night and found smoke and flames issuing from an outbuilding.
It is not yet known what caused the fire, and further investigations are being carried out.
There were no persons or animals trapped trapped in the building, so crews got to work using breathing apparatus and compressed air foam jets.
The fire was extinguished at 10.28pm, but crews remained on the scene to dampen down hot spots.
The building was 50 per cent damaged by the fire and 100 per cent damaged by smoke.
