THE efficient legal assistant Tony Knight who clients meet during the day turns into the daredevil Tony Knight in his spare time.

Tony, aged 44, of Laxton Close, Taunton, is gearing up for his latest nerve-defying stunt next month - a ten-minute wing walk for charity.

It follows previous challenges such as cycling the length of the country, a parachute jump from 15,000ft to name but two.

The wing walk at Compton Abbas Airfield, in Dorset, on July 16, will raise money for Cancer Research in memory of his father, William, who died from lung cancer at St Margaret's Hospice.

"It's the latest thing on my bucket list," said Tony, who works for a local firm of solicitors.

"There's not any training I can do for it. I'll just turn up, they'll strap me into a harness and the plane will take off, doing various manoeuvres at speeds of up to 130mph.

"I'm looking forward to it. It's not the scariest thing I've done - that was cycling from Land's End to John o@groats last year to raise money for St Margaret's in memory of my dad because I had to cover 979 miles in 12 days and I didn't know whether I'd be able to finish it."

Later this year, Tony is competing in two races to test his endurance - Tough Mudder and Rough Runner events You can sponsor him on the Anthony Knight Just Giving site.
