IT'S the start of the Bank Holiday weekend today (Saturday, May 28) - and Taunton is buzzing.
Traders are sure to be delighted with the town centre buzzing with people.
There's a chance of some family fun in Castle Green, where the Hide Out pub has got some great ideas for entertaining the kids.
If you like cricket, pop over to the Cooper Associates County Ground, where a sizeable crowd is building as Somerset take on Surrey on the first of a four-day Specsavers County Championship match.
Talking of cricket, there's a chance to see some famous players from the past as Staplegrove Cricket Club take on Lashings All Stars at the club tomorrow (Sunday), with Gordon Greenidge, Simon Jones and Henry Blofeld putting in an appearance from 2pm.
There will be some pretty energetic people letting off steam tomorrow as well at the Taunton Triathlon, starting at Taunton School at 8am - ditch the lie-in for one Sunday to catch the action.
