A £1million scheme to improve the road between Cannington and Combwich is set to begin in May.
The footway will be widened to provide a shared use footpath and cycleway and the carriageway will also be widened and resurfaced with improved drainage.
The scheme is part funded using contributions contained within the Hinkley Point C planning agreement and the Department for Transport’s £1.6million investment in maintenance of highways.
Works are set to start in early May requiring a small section of traffic lights for one month.
The main works will start afterwards, to be complete by November.
The works will require temporary traffic lights.
Come to Otterhampton Village Hall, Combwich from 6pm on Wednesday May 4 to speak to County Council officers and the contractor delivering the scheme.
