A GROUP of Brownies from North Curry joined The Countess of Wessex to celebrate the opening of Girlguiding’s headquarters in London.
They were among young members from across the UK at the charity’s brand new hub in Victoria and were joined by the Countess, who is Girlguiding’s president, and senior Girlguiding volunteers.
After touring the building, they presented the royal with a bouquet.
Isla, aged eight, a member of 1st North Curry Brownies, said: “It was a bit nerve-wracking meeting the Countess, but she was really friendly.
"I like the new building a lot, because it has a place where we can stay overnight.
“I love being in Brownies because you get to meet lots of new people and make new friends.”
