The animatronic polar bear used at Christmas in Burnham as part of the Frostival celebrations proved to be one of the post popular events of the winter.
Nanuq was hugged more 600 times by small children and grown-ups who like bears according to the Town Centre Manager Beverley who felt the bear 'hugtastic'.
The only note of criticism was from some parents who noted the event was in the Ritz Social Club where there was a licensed bar.
The Frostival lamps were also considered a great succes and proved popular said the manager in a report to the town council.
