Chard is set to be cool but dry for today with the chance of rain staying very low until Friday morning.

In their South West summary, the Met Office said: "Patchy light rain, mainly across the east, will clear during the morning to leave a dry day. There will be some sunshine this afternoon, especially across western counties, but it will feel fresher than of late in a northwesterly breeze."

The maximum temperature is set to reach around 16°C, before dropping to a minimum temperature of 7°C overnight.

In tomorrow's forecast, the Met office said: "A largely dry day will follow on Thursday with light winds and sunny spells, where it should feel pleasant. Again, an isolated shower is just possible."

The temperature is again set to peak at 16°C.
