A BOXING event held in Bridgwater has helped to raise £500 for Taunton Association for the Homeless.
Aspiring businessman Faisel Ghazghazi, himself a former resident of the TAH, organised and promoted the event through his company, G-Man Promotions.
Faisel also voluntarily runs a training class called Box Clever for the clients of TAH which enables them to keep busy, keep fit and work towards a goal.
“Homelessness affects millions worldwide,” he said.
“I myself have suffered but have managed to come out the other side and rebuild my life, thanks to help from TAH.
“TAH changes lives – they give people the opportunity to build self-confidence and develop skills.”
He raised the money during the boxing event through a raffle.
Faisel hopes to eventually start up his own gym, where he can hold more training sessions through G-Man Promotions and help more disadvantaged individuals.
He is currently looking for funding to get his project up and running.
