Firefighters deal with tyre blaze in Bridgwater
A FIRE that was started in Bridgwater caused smoke to cover the M5 motorway last night.
Two tyres had been set alight causing dangerous driving conditions as thick black smoke covered the motorway at Huntworth.
Police called Devon and Somerset Fire Service to deal with the controlled tyre fire at around 11pm which was quickly extinguished.
Fire crews gave advice to the people that had started the fire and left the scene.
No accidents or injuries were reported.
