AN opticians store in Chard is encouraging budding young designers to get creative with an Easter-themed colouring competition.
Specsavers Chard, based at 2 Fore Street, will be calling on primary school children to get crafty and create a bespoke Easter egg, with the winner receiving an Easter egg and other goodies.
Stephen Watson, store director, said: “We are really looking forward to seeing the children's creations and we hope to uncover the next generation of budding artists.
“It's also a great opportunity for children to visit us in store and learn about the importance of eye health and the benefits of eye examinations from an early age.”
Staff will be setting up a designated area for children who visit the store to colour in their own design and have it displayed on a special Easter-themed wall. The closing date for the competition is April 11 and the winner will be announced on April 13.
To enter the competition simply visit the store and ask for a colouring sheet. Entries will be displayed in store for everyone to see.
For more information or to book an eye examination, call the store on 01460 238 800.
