REPRESENTATIVES of Taunton-based property developer Summerfield have handed over a £3,600 cheque to St Margaret’s Hospice.
It takes to £8,200 the firm has donated to the Bishop’s Hull-based hospice during the past 12 months.
Summerfield has been giving a donation to St Margaret;s each time it sells a new home.
Richard Nicol, divisional sales director at Summerfield, said: “We support a number of charities year on year and with cancer affecting the lives of so many people, St. Margaret’s is a very worth beneficiary.”
Julia Poulton, head of fundraising at St Margaret’s, which needs £10,300 a day to cover running costs, said: “The money Summerfield have gifted us has been put to very good use across all aspects of the services that we provide, including running our two in-patient units - the Sunflower bereavement centre and our community nursing service in Somerset.”
