HOLYROOD Academy linked up with the Kelly Leigh School of Dance to stage a competitive dance event for local primary schools last week.
Pupils from Combe St Nicholas, Neroche and Manor Court spent the afternoon learning a sequence of moves before taking part in a dance-off competition.
In all, 28 pupils learnt the routine which was performed in groups of four in front of parents and staff.
Holyrood sports co-ordinator Jason Hedaux thanked Kelly Leigh for hosting the event and called it a “great example of schools and community working together.”
Neroche Primary School came out on top in the competition for its well-rehearsed routine and freestyle ending.
The team of Oliver, Kayne, Lola and Evie took top spot but a special mention was made of Archie from the school for his body popping.
Head teacher Connel Boyle added: “The skill of our children’s dancing and choreography was very impressive.
“I look forward to seeing them in the future on Britain’s Got Talent!”
