THE era-defining work of Romantic poets William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge will be celebrated with artistic flair at Halsway Manor, near Crowcombe, next week.
A free exhibition from Gallery4Art, inspired by the poets’ work, runs from 9am to 5pm daily from Monday until Friday, August 15.
On Wednesday, at 8pm, an illustrated talk by Frances Harrison will explore the emergence of romantic poetry and visual arts – tickets cost £5 or £2 for students.
Bristol-based poet Ralph Hoyte will deliver his take on Coleridge’s ‘Christabel Released’ at 6.30pm on Friday, August 15, with tickets costing £8 or £2 for students.
