OLDER people will be able to discuss issues face to face with trained advisers following Age UK Somerset’s decision to open from 10am to 4pm every Wednesday at Taunton’s Market House.

Chief Officer Alan Bartle said: “Our customers have often told us they want to see Age UK Somerset provide a high street presence, so we’ve teamed up with the Taunton Team Chaplaincy Trust to open a Trading and Information Advice service.

“Something very important to those in later life is to be able to discuss their business face to face and many of our customers value a more personal approach.”

Trading manager John Alexander said: “The new service allows people to drop in to discuss a range of products, including home, car, and travel insurance, as well as hearing aids, stair lifts, recliner chairs and adjustable beds.

“The Market House team is also able to give information on a range of issues including money matters, housing rights, health and social care, leisure and social activities, family and personal matters.”
