A HOG roast and raffle held by Pat and Paddy Potter, of Staplegrove, raised £820 for the Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment appeal to equip the Beacon Centre cancer unit at Taunton’s Musgrove Park Hospital.
A total of £2,488.55 was raised last week for SURE, which is supported by the County Gazette – £430,077.09 has been donated since the link up.
Other income last week included £88.45 from Collette Secker and Sarah Miller, from a craft sale at the Beacon Centre; two anonymous donations of £20 and£31; £12.10 in 5p coins from Wendy Palmer, of Wellington; £21.25 in 5ps from the Hanlon family and friends; £80 from A. Larcombe, of Crewkerne in lieu of 70th birthday presents; £1,174.50 from a week-long collection outside Morrisons, in Minehead; £5 in 5ps from Steph Lawrence; £51 in 5ps from Stuart and Val Knowling; and £185.25, including £157.45 in 5ps from the Beacon Centre.
