BOOKWORMS at West Somerset Community College have been enjoying some new free books thanks to the generosity of WHSmith and Malcolm Adams, manager of the Minehead branch.
Malcolm submitted an application to the company’s national ‘Schools’ Link Scheme’ and was awarded £150 of vouchers which he then passed on to Jo Crossman, manager of the college library, to spend on some new stock for the college bookshelves.
Jo said: “I am really pleased to have had the opportunity to choose some great new fiction titles for our students.
“We have many avid readers at the college, and it is always a pleasure to get new books for them to read.
“We are very grateful to both WHSmith and Malcolm for their kind donation.”
