TRIBUTES are pouring in for a popular young woman who was killed in a road collision.

Jessica White, who lived in Ilminster, died as a result of serious injuries caused when the silver Renault Clio she was driving hit a wall in Wellington Road, Taunton, at about 12.45am on Friday.

Jessica, 23, was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital but died later.

Her friends have spoken of their shock and sadness on Facebook, describing Jessica as beautiful, funny and loveable.

Her mother, Sharon Evans, posted a heartfelt tribute to her daughter on Facebook, saying: “I love you so very much and I’m so very proud of everything you ever achieved in life.

“I cannot and do not want to believe you have gone my very precious Jess (jellybaby).”

She later added: “You will never be forgotten and the love will never die. I’m so stunned and feel so empty I really don’t know what to say. I love you more than words could ever express.”

Flowers laid at the scene of the crash.

One of Jessica’s friends arranged a minute’s silence before the start of Blue Park Rangers’ final football match of the season and all the players wore black armbands during the game.

Floral tributes were left close to the crash scene this week, and other friends described Jessica as ‘the maddest of them all’, but a ‘funny, loveable character’ who ‘always made people laugh’.

John Male posted on Jessica’s Facebook wall: “A big loss having you taken from us so early Jess White, such a beautiful, amazing and funny young lass.

“I will miss the random chats and banter we had, a real pleasure to have known and worked with you.

“ You will truly be missed by us all but never forgotten.

“My thoughts are with all your family and friends. RIP beautiful angel.”

Nina Louise Richards posted: “We will miss you dearly girl. You have gained some wings and you are now a beautiful angel watching over all your friends, family and loved ones.

“Not a day will pass that we don’t think of you.”

Another friend, Luke Southby, said: “RIP Jess White, what a lovely, funny young woman who I was blessed to have met, always putting a smile on people’s face.

“My thoughts go out to her family. Sleep tight sweet xxx.”
