BUSINESSES in Chard were offered the chance to stay ahead of their competition at a breakfast meeting.

The session was hosted by The News’ sales representative Chris Jones and run by Linda Vijeh, from Service Matters, as businesses looked at identifying customers’ needs.

Chris said: “We are well aware of how tough it is out there, particularly for small businesses, and offering these free workshops is our way of giving something back to support them.

“The only fee payable is £10 for the breakfast and the feedback has been brilliant – some businesses have attended every workshop as they think these short sessions are so valuable in improving their business opportunities.”

Previous sessions have covered such topics as attracting customers’ attention and knowing your competition.

Linda said: “It is absolutely vital that any business knows their competition inside out in order to be able to stay ahead of the game.”

In the next session, on Tuesday, April 4, the topic will be about presenting your product or service to meet your customers’ needs.
