THE annual runs organised by Combe St Nicholas Primary School’s Parents and Friends Association attracted more than 100 competitors.
The wet and windy weather did little to discourage people from running on Sunday in the 10km adult run and 2km fun run for children.
Some 55 people took on the longer, more challenging course and 60 the shorter route, watched by dozens of supporters.
PFA chairman Meghann Weiss said: “We had a fantastic day and we think we have raised about £800 for the school, which is just brilliant.
“We spent hours putting the course together and making it lovely for everyone, and received lots of positive remarks afterwards to say what a good event it was.”
