A MAN who set fire to the Waitrose supermarket in Wellington, causing an estimated £1million damage, has been jailed for four years.

Robert Pitman, 24, admitted causing the devastating blaze on July 21 despite claiming to have no memory of the incident.

Pitman, of High Street, Wellington, changed his plea to guilty minutes before his trial for arson was due to start and was today (February 27) jailed at Taunton Crown Court.
