RUISHTON Football Club is celebrating this week after discovering they will receive £500 funding.
The 'Big 160' campaign run by Skipton Building Society had more than 1,000 applicants from across the country as they looked for a winner in its Grassroots Giving initiative.
After being shortlisted, the group's application was then in the hands of the public vote and they secured a big enough proportion of the 20,000 votes received to be crowned a winner.
Ruishton is a small club and has four youth teams, with youngsters aged between eight and 11.
With the money, the club hope to purchase a new pitch line marker, after the current one was donated by the local cricket club over 15 years ago.
