Unit revamp at Musgrove Park Hospital thanks to Think Amy! donation
6:30am Monday 6th January 2014 in Somerset
Jane, who set up Think Amy! after her 13-year-old daughter was killed by speeding motorists in Taunton, gave her thanks to everyone who contributed to helping the campaign not just reach, but exceed, its 2013 fundraising target.
Among them were Avon and Somerset Police, C&D South-West, Quantock Restaurant, the police cadets, Queen’s College, Taunton Town Centre Company, Somerfest, ASDA, Sky College, the Holiday Inn, the SPACE company and Party On.
Jane said: “2013’s road deaths have been absolutely horrendous in Somerset, and in 2014 I’ll be working even harder to give more talks in schools and colleges to help promote awareness of the consequences of dangerous driving.
“We need to get back to basics now – keep the speed limits, wear your seat belt and drive considerately.
“Think Amy is getting bigger and stronger, and I intend to do as many talks to help address all these unnecessary deaths.”
