A PINK-THEMED tombola held in Ilminster to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care was a great success.
More than 350 pink items were given to organiser and cancer survivor Anne Hine in the run-up to the event, which helped mark Breast Cancer Awareness month.
A pink lucky dip for children and pink balloons added to the colourful spectacle outside Tesco.
Anne said: “It was fantastic! We raised a magnificent £1,411.15. My husband, step-daughter Paris and friends helped me on the day and also dressed in pink.
“The venue outside Tesco in Ilminster was ideal and I thank them for their support, both on the day and in donating prizes. It was a long day, as we carried on until we sold out at about 5pm, but it was such fun.
“I would like to say a massive ‘thankyou’ to everyone who supported me in this fundraiser by either donating prizes or having a go on the day.
“A big thank you must also go to the people who donated money. I am very grateful and I know Breast Cancer Care will be too.”
