THE number of smokers buying illegal tobacco in the South-West has fallen by more than 20% in the past three years.
A survey revealed illegal tobacco purchases have dropped from 20% of smokers in 2010 to 16% this year.
Figures from the Tackling Illegal Tobacco for Better Health programme also showed illegal tobacco’s share of the South-West market has fallen from 11% to 7% in three years.
