NOTARO Care Homes is taking part in the first National Care Home Open day on Friday, June 21.

The idea behind the day is to encourage people to visit care homes in their neighbourhood and work together to develop better relationships between the home and the community.

Connections with the community is something staff at Notaro Care Homes say they have nurtured since the business was established in 1984.

As part of the Open Day Notaro Care Homes are opening their doors, across Somerset, to the general public and will be showcasing a variety of activities and refreshments.

So far over 2,000 homes have registered for this unique event across the UK.

Nunzio Notaro, managing director of Notaro Care Homes said: "This is a great way to showcase the excellent services on offer and the fantastic work that goes on across all of our homes.

"Some people still have misconceptions about care homes so we are keen to dispel any myths that are out there and for people to come and have a look around."
