SEDGEMOOR voters are being asked to make sure they know which polling station to use for the Somerset County Council elections in May.

People may need to visit a different polling station to the one they are used to, following a change in the electoral areas for the county council elections.

Polling cards will soon be sent out to all electors eligible to vote in the elections on May 2 and people asked to check their poll card carefully to identify which polling station to use.

Chris Facey, SDC's elections officer, said: “There have been a number of changes to polling stations in Sedgemoor for this year's county council elections, especially in the Burnham area.”

Voters must register by April 17 to ensure they can have their say at the ballot box.

To request a voting registration form contact Sedgemoor District Council's Electoral Services team on 01278-435334 or email elections@sedgemoor.gov.uk.
