Car arson at Petherton
AN abandoned car was believed to have been deliberately set on fire this morning at South Petherton.
The Fire Service received a call at just after 2am from a passing motorist reporting a fire in the distance, but was unable to give fuller details.
A fire engine from Martock was sent out to investigate and they found a vehicle on farm land at Hams Lane, off Bridge Way, well alight.
A Fire Service spokesman said the vehicle had been abandoned and the fire was a result of arson.
