VENUES in Wellington flouting their licensing hours are being clamped down on by police.
Officers are targeting pubs, restaurants and takeaways to ensure they are operating within permitted times after receiving several reports of late-night drinking in the town.
Police and licensing officers have carried out checks at various hotspots over the last fortnight and found one to be serving after hours.
