Have a Heart Appeal fundraiser in Chard

FUNDS for the Have a Heart Appeal will be boosted next month thanks to the efforts of Samantha Fooks.

Samantha is holding a cake stall and charity raffle at The Unit on Chard Business Park on Sunday, March 24, from 11.30am to 2.30pm.

“All prizes have been donated by local businesses and I have 20 companies involved,” she said. “All sales from my stall will go 100% to the charity. I will also be holding a lucky dip raffle for children.”

The Have a Heart Appeal raises money to make seriously ill children’s wishes come true.

Samantha has arranged for businesses to have stalls at the fundraising event to give visitors plenty to do.

A bouncy castle and face painting are also on offer at the event to help boost the total amount raised.

Samantha added: “Waitrose has very kindly donated cakes for my stall, which I will add to the others being baked by my team of seven cake-bakers.”
