FOLLOWING in the footsteps of romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge has never been easier.
New wooden fingerpost signs have been put up along the 36-mile Coleridge Way, which stretches from Nether Stowey to Porlock through scenery said to have inspired some of Coleridge’s best-known work.
Exmoor National Park ranger Adam Vasey said: “All our wooden fingerposts are hand-crafted and the timber locally sourced from our own woodlands.
“Working with our field services team we came up with a new simplified Coleridge Way quill logo that could be hand-routed by the team onto the fingerposts.
“We used a colour system to distinguish between the Coleridge Bridleway and Coleridge Footpath – yellow for the footpath and blue for the bridleway.
“Some great B&Bs offer accommodation and food along way, and many also offer livery for those enjoying the bridleway, so why not give it a try and enjoy some fantastic scenery?”
The Moor Rover flexible transport service can also now be booked for accessing the Coleridge Way.
