Cash boost for Burnham and Highbridge community groups
TWO groups from the Burnham and Highbridge area have received Sedgemoor District Council grants of £1,000 each.
The Monarchs Acrobatic Gymnastics Club, in Highbridge, will use the money to buy an air track to help people learn to somersault more safely and reduce the impact on their joints.
Burnham Dreamscheme’s award will help convert a derelict ornamental garden behind the BAY Centre into a community garden.
The grants panel handed out £7,290 in its latest round of awards.
