Tom has the recipe for success

WADHAM School student Tom Johnson served up a recipe for success for judges in the Rotary Club’s Young Chef competition.

Tom won the cooking contest with a £15 budget meal of parsnip soup for starters, a main meal of baked chicken with a cheese and breadcrumb topping and a dessert of ginger and rhubarb syllabub. Second place went to Charlotte Eardley, while third was Emily Singleton.

Judges for the competition were Maureen Fasan from the White Lion Carvery in Crewkerne, Kath Kersley from the Admiral Hood in Mosterton and Mandy Charles.
