Burnham MP calls for fuel price review

MP Tessa Munt has joined calls for the Office of Fair Trading to conduct a full review of petrol and diesel pricing.
An OFT report last week said recent rises were due to tax increases and wholesale oil prices, not anti-competitive behaviour, but Ms Munt said: “We need to see details of the wholesale prices – we need to know definitively why diesel’s so much more expensive than petrol and we need greater transparency in the market.”
