Grant boosts Holway's Local Action Team

Chairman Dean Whitaker and youth club members receive a cheque from Cllr Hazel Prior-Sankey.
A YOUTH group in Holway has received a £2,000 boost from a Somerset County Council initiative.
Cllr Hazel Prior-Sankey has given the money from her local community grant kitty to Holway Local Action Team.
LAT chairman Dean Whitaker said: “This money will make a big difference to the club, which runs on a shoestring. We welcome the support shown by Hazel and others. It’s important to ensure young people can enjoy activities in a safe environment.”
The presentation was made during one of the club’s events every Tuesday at Taunton YMCA.
Each county councillor is allocated a sum for local initiatives which encourage people, families and communities to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.
