A GROUP of agricultural students from Bridgwater College braved the icy weather to attend the UK’s largest agricultural machinery show.

The Level 3 apprentices visited the annual Lincolnshire Agricultural Machinery Manufacturer’s Association Machinery Show (LAMMA) at the Newark Showground in Nottingham.

The showground provided the students with information on topics relating to their course, including specialist seed drills and the latest GPS computerised systems and developments in agricultural machinery.

Rob Giles, programme manager for Agriculture said: “It was of huge benefit to the students, especially as it tied in with some of their forthcoming units of study.”

The students will represent Bridgwater College next month demonstrating the latest GPS technology at the AMES Machinery Show at the Bath and West Showground.

An Open Day is being wild at the college tomorrow (January 26) from 10am to 1pm at the Cannington Centre. Call 01278-441234 or visit www.bridgwater.ac.uk.
